No longer a land-only kind of dog.

I knew we were going some place cool because we had to take a ferry to get there. I could barely contain myself with excitement.
I had to pitch in my navigational assistance to assure we would not get lost.
And then we finally got there, Useless Bay Beach on Whidbey Island.
6 miles of off-leash fun for me! I jumped right into the water. Mom and Dad were shocked because I never wanted to go into the ocean or any water before.
But, there were so many dogs to play with that I just couldn't help myself.
Running down the beach with a new friend.
Hunting for lunch.
We were so tired on the way home that we all feel asleep on the ferry and almost forgot to get off. I didn't get off the couch the rest of the night and even used Mom as a pillow.

My favorite next door neighbor: Duke

Duke lives right across the street and comes over to play everyday. In the mornings I sometimes howl to tell Duke i'm up, but usually if I just ring my bell to go outside he can hear it and he comes over to my yard and we wrestle.
I like Duke, i let him share my couch, my toys and even my water bowl. He's fun to play with but sometimes he jumps the fence. Mom and Dad told me I'm not allowed to follow him.
You can't deny that I'm part German Shepherd, check our our ears!
