Mt. Rainier-1st time out.

I didn't get to go to Mt. Rainier because it's a national park and dogs are not allowed to hike on the trails. But, mom and dad went on the most beautiful day.
This is part of the Tatoosh mountain range which provides great views of Rainier.
Mt. Rainier at mirror lake.
Plants growing up through snow.
(this may not be weird to some, but to me this was crazy, maybe because i'm from Ohio and this just doesn't happen there)
Mt. Adams in the distance.
Mt. Adams close up.
Imagine turning around 180 degrees. If you did you would see this:
I made it to the top (well, the top of where we were going). Approximately 2000ft and a few sketchy snow passes later Clint decided we need to buy hiking poles.
See the animal tracks across the snow field-they are not animal tracks, they are human tracks. This is was pass that made me really nervous.
The un-zoomed version of the snow pass (top left corner). Now you can see why is was such a crazy endeavor without hiking poles and for Clint without proper shoes on.
Marmot!!
It was a great day. Clint got to show me where he lived for a year of his life (yes, i have seen the infamous trailer) and i completely understand why he loves this mountain so much. One day I will make it to the top with him.

My new view and settling in.

We piled everything into one room and got rid of the trailer!
My first chance to catch my new view. It'll do i suppose.
Beginning to unpack. Can you see me?
I was helping. See i got all my toys out.
Where in the world is Kodiak Elfers?
Sailboat regatta every thursday evening.
The many forms of our new view.
Time out. I love the air conditioning vent!
Back to the many different ways our view can look.
Outside looking in.
Those are just electrical lines for the bus.
The couch is here, i'm home.
Grillin'
(i even got a taste of the leftover salmon)
Opera?
Snow caps.
My 1st doggie bagel.
Yes, they really have bagels for dogs at the human bagel store.
Three pillows are necessary and essential to a successful nap.
I still love my belly rubs.

Day 8- Welcome to my new home state.

After spending the night in Missoula, MT I am on the road again.
And, we made it to Washington!
Wait. Where are the huge mountains, where is the snow, where is the cooler weather? You guys promised these things and it looks like a desert out there. (In fact, it is desert-like in eastern washington. We even saw a tumbleweed)
Approaching the Columbia River.
Appropriately it started to rain as we got to the Cascade mountains. Almost like a welcome to your new home.
We got to our new house about 9:30 and decided to unload everything. That process was quite a bit quicker than the loading and we REALLY wanted to quit driving around with this trailer following us.

Day 7-On the home stretch.

Crossing another state line.
And another.
Where did the snow go?
No snow? I'm snoozing.
The landscape of Montana.
Maybe i'll sleep in the window seat tonight.
I found the toilet paper!!!! Shreddin' time.

Day 6- The Grand Tetons

Today we did a little off-roading. Not on purpose, but the road, which took us south and out of Yellowstone and to the Grand Tetons was missing pavement. It was a bit of a bumpy ride, and the trailer did not enjoy it--but check out the view!!
Dad and I by the river.
Mom and I checking out the waterfall.
Grand Tetons, here we come! Think i can get to the snow and have a snack?
Is that a wolf in the woods, nope just me.
Dad and I just hanging out by the Tetons, just like any other day.
Family Photo.
Traveling across country is ruff. I'm pooped.
I get the bed, dad gets the dog bed. Life is in order.
