Road Trip-Olympic Peninsula

Dad had both days of the weekend off, so we left town...
My 1st ferry ride. I loved the smell of the water and the wind in my face. I got to get out of the car and go to the front of the ship. It was breezy up there, my fur even blew backwards-i Loved it! We soon arrived to Bainbridge Island.
Who said that the trees don't change color in Seattle?
What a view!
Hood Canal Bridge. It was so windy-check out those waves smashing into the bridge. Some even splashed over the side. I was watching closely for some fish-everyone could use a snack every now and then.
(What else do you expect, I'm allergic to every other kind of meat.)
We stayed in 'A little slice of heaven', as dad called it.
Mom and Dad had all kinds of snacks, and I had 4 friends to run around the Zen garden with. What more could a dog want?
I had trouble settling and going to sleep because i knew there was a woods right outside my door, and 4, did i mention FOUR puppies to play with. I tried my hardest to whine all night, but mom and dad made me lie in front of the fire. I guess it was a pretty nice night after all.
The next morning mom and dad had an amazing breakfast and packed up. I did not want to go. In fact, I ran off around the woods to try and stay longer. Mom and dad tried to catch me for a long time. I think i was in BIG trouble.
Driving around Crescent Lake in Olympic National Park. The clouds like to hug the mountains, but we saw a few glimpses of sunshine and really no rain.
Surveying my 4th national park in 3 months. This one passes my inspection via the sniff test. Don't worry, i left my mark here, just like in all the others.
The Pacific Ocean.
Dad and I checking out the beach-I've never seen an ocean before.
What is this foamy stuff? Wait, it's coming towards me! What's going on?
I don't think I like this...
Nope, definitely don't like this. But, importantly, I had my paws in the Pacific.
Now, get me away from the waves.
The beach is much better from up here (on driftwood, where the water can't reach me!)
Dad and I strolling along the beach.
Mom's turn to try and convince me that the waves are really not that bad.
I was getting a little closer to the waves, until I spotted another puppy down the rocks (sand).
I'm in my crouch-ready-to-pounce position so I can greet my friend with surprise and enthusiasm. In the end I barked too much (i just get really excited guys) and wasn't allowed to meet the other dog. I guess I learned my lesson: 'you catch more bees with honey', or something like that? I'll work on my 'come play with me voice'.
Next stop: Hoh Rain Forest. Yep, you heard me right, rainforest in Washington complete with evergreen trees. It's very unique, but I don't know what they are talking about rain? I saw the forest part, but I didn't see any rain.? The moss did smell good though and I got lots of head-out-the-window time-which is always a plus.
Look, a life-size version of my favorite toy: Reindeer!
He didn't want to play though, I stayed safe inside the Rover-you see the size of those antlers right?
Ahhh, fall. Fall means winter is next, which means SNOW!
This is the way I roll. Notice that I'm still representing Ohio-gotta get that plate changed soon. Dad says we're fish-food for Smoky
(i have no idea what he's talking about, but I eat fish so it doesn't sound good).
Sunset over the Pacific before we make the loop back around to Seattle.
Even though we were only gone one night I had a great time. A ferry, fresh air, pretty leaves, 4 new friends to play with, the ocean (from far away), and a car ride with mom and dad. I'm one lucky pup!
